Jason’s story begins in Guyana, where summers were spent alongside his father repairing cars and servicing rice combines. Though welding didn’t initially spark his interest, the rhythmic clatter of metal and the quiet artistry of fabrication slowly drew him in. Over time, Jason began to see welding not just as a trade, but as a form of expression, an art that fused precision with creativity.
Driven by a desire to create something big, Jason's family immigrated to Saint Lucia from Guyana to fulfil their goals. It was here, at age 28, that he met Tino Sperling. Sperling was a seasoned German fabricator whose humility and leadership left a lasting impression. Sperling became more than a mentor, he was a model of excellence and integrity in the field.
After collaborating with Sperling on a major project at Heineken, Jason jouned the family business: Arc Precision. Today, Jason is known for tackling some of the most demanding welding challenges, from aluminum and pipeline work to intricate rim and A/C line repairs.
Aluminum welding is notoriously difficult due to the metal’s softness, high thermal conductivity, and tendency to form an oxide layer that must be carefully managed. It requires precise heat control and specialized techniques to avoid warping or weak joints. Pipeline welding, on the other hand, demands endurance and accuracy under tough conditions which is often outdoors, in confined

—spaces, or with strict safety standards. The welds must be flawless, as even the smallest defect can compromise the integrity of an entire system. Jason has mastered both. His artistic eye for detail allows him to treat aluminum with finesse, producing clean, strong welds where others struggle. On pipelines, he combines technical discipline with patience, ensuring every seam meets the highest standards.
Whether it’s rims, A/C lines, or industrial piping, Jason’s reputation rests on his ability to tackle jobs that many welders shy away from and deliver results that speak to both craftsmanship and reliability. His journey is a testament to resilience, mentorship, and the transformative power of seeing beauty in the sparks.
